- Demonstrated tool and fixture design, error proofing, and work balancing are preferable
- Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, CAD, and experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description/ Role:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the equipment, utilities, controls, and systems to run our indoor vertical farm and create a strategic plan to maintain the facilities 24/7
- Develop, evaluate and improve food processing/manufacturing methods utilizing lean tools, knowledge of product design, materials and parts, process variables, tooling and production equipment capabilities, process methods, and quality control standards
- Work closely with costing and production to estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D as required concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, facility and equipment practices, QA/QC policies, workforce health and safety, food safety performance standards, and specifications
- Lead lean, continuous improvement projects to optimize worker safety, food safety, customer satisfaction, reliable delivery, product quality, and productivity
- Reduce/eliminate extra process steps and labor through the use of automation and manual assist processes
