Job Description / Role:
- Acts as the foreman of the unlicensed crew members of the engine department
- Plans, supervises, schedule, and assign works to engine ratings to ensure works are done in compliance to approved practices and operating procedures
- Maintains engine areas as well as executing formal preventive maintenance programs
- Regularly inspects equipment such as umps, turbines, distilling plants, and condensers, and prepares record of condition
- Lubricates and maintains machinery and equipment such as generators, steering systems, lifeboats, and sewage disposal systems
- Responsible for rigging, slinging, and operation of lifting gear in engine room
- Responsible for the cordage, and colours in the engine room
- Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
- Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.
